Archives For Eli Roth

GreenInferno

And here it is, folks! Finally, the official trailer for Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno has been released in all of its cannibalistic glory, featuring screams of terror and a heavy dose of horror. Roth is a voice the genre hasn’t heard in quite some time as The Green Inferno marks the director’s return behind a feature film since 2007′s Hostel Part II. Everything we’ve seen leading up to this trailer has been fantastic, but this 2-minute slice of horror is pretty brilliant as most of it is all suggestive, leaving a lot up to the imagination. It’s a really well done trailer that only gives us a taste of what’s to come. Check it out! Continue Reading…

We now finally have a poster for Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno that is just as striking as the teaser trailer we saw back in April. Usually I can’t stand a poster that has nothing on it but a giant floating head with a bunch of nonsense thrown in the background for shits and grins, but that is absolutely not the case with the official one-sheet for The Green Inferno. It’s just a simple, terrifying shot of a girl about to become a happy meal and I love it! I think you guys are going to dig it as well so take a look! Continue Reading…

The Green Inferno marks the long awaited return of director Eli Roth who hasn’t stepped behind the camera of a feature film since 2007′s Hostel: Part II, and today a teaser trailer has finally dropped for the cannibalistic tale and it’s absolutely haunting. In it we’re teased with a few close-up shots of a terrified girl tied down by a native tribe who only have one thing on the menu—man-sushi. The teaser captures the very gruesome nature of Roth’s latest foray into the genre without actually spilling any of the red stuff. It plays on the fears of our imagination because we all know what road this is heading down, the teaser just provides the direction. Continue Reading…

It looks like Eli Roth’s return to horror with The Green Inferno was only him warming up because word is coming in that he already has his eyes set on his next horror venture with a little film entitled Knock Knock. According to The Wrap, Roth will direct from an original screenplay he co-wrote with Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo—his co-writers from Aftershock. This is huge news for the horror community because Roth’s in-your-face vision and storytelling has been sorely missed in the genre since he took a six-year long hiatus between Hostel: Part II and The Green Inferno. Right on the heels of yesterday’s poster debut for Ti West’s The Sacrament is the film’s very first red-band trailer. I’ve watched the trailer a couple of times now, and I can’t for the life of me figure why it has been labeled with a red band. Nonetheless, the trailer for one of 2014′s most anticipated horror movies is now available for you guys to check out, and it’s pretty solid. Look for The Sacrament on VOD May 1st! Continue Reading…

Ti West is one of my favorite up and coming horror directors. He tore through the genre with his brilliant throwback House of the Devil and then quickly followed it up with the solid haunter The Innkeepers. Now, he has teamed up with producer and horror maestro Eli Roth for his latest outing, The Sacrament. With its May 1st VOD release inching closer and closer, the marketing machine is officially about to kick into gear. And to start things off, we have the film’s debut poster thanks to IGN. There’s nothing quite like a horror movie clown is there? There’s just something about that constant smile and rainbow colored pants that strike fear into just about anyone, and now Eli Roth has produced what could quite possibly one of the most horrifying clowns the genre has seen in years. I’m honestly surprised that we don’t see more clown-based horror movies these days because they are genre gold as far as I’m concerned. It doesn’t take a whole hell of a lot of effort to make a clown scary as most people are scared of them just by simply saying the word. Continue Reading…

The-Green-Inferno-2013-3

In perhaps the best news of the day, the MPAA has officially delivered an expected R rating to Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno. The best part? Here’s the description they gave on the rating, “aberrant violence and torture, grisly disturbing images, brief graphic nudity, sexual content, language and some drug use”. With Roth finally returning to a spot behind the camera of a feature film, you had to know he was going to come out swinging. Inspired by Cannibal Holocaust, The Green Inferno appears to be Roth’s most violent and disturbing film yet, which is saying a lot considering his body of work. Continue Reading…

By now I’m sure you all know just how excited I am to see Ti West and Eli Roth’s The Sacrament. The reason for the excitement is simply because we’ll be seeing Roth, who is finally starting to dig his claws back into the horror genre, team up with one of horror’s most promising up and coming directors with Ti West. When the project was first announced it was kept very quiet and little details were known. Now that the film is gearing up for its World Premiere at TIFF, we are finally starting to see just what the duo has in store. While we wait for a trailer, here’s a fantastic poster for the film that EW got their hands on earlier today. Continue Reading…
