
This needed to happen, folks. The fact that it has taken this long for a new adaptation of Stephen King’s best-selling novel It is kind of unbelievable. The book itself is terrifying, and the 1990 miniseries certainly had its moments so it’s surprising that we haven’t seen a new take on the story sooner. THR reports, Cary Fukunaga, the hot-shot filmmaker behind last year’s adaptation of Jane Eyre, is boarding the project as director and will co-write the script with Chase Palmer, who previously adapted Frank Herbert’s Dune for Paramount.
