Joshua Hoffine is an unbelievable horror photographer who captures fear in its purest form. You will notice immediately that with most of his work he puts children in terrifying situations. The reason he does this is because he says that, “as small children we experience certain inherent and instinctual fears, such as fear of the dark, fear of lurking danger, and the fear of being eaten. As we grow older, these fears lose their intensity and are slowly shuffled away into our unconscious.” In saying this Hoffine couldn’t be any truer. Fear is at such an elevated level when you are a child because your imagination is running constantly and those bumps in the night mean so much more. His work captures this element perfectly and it’s truly something special.

Good stuff, some real nightmare fuel.
I love this guy! I’ve been a fan for awhile. Great post!
Unfortunately, I’ve just discovered Hoffine but I’m glad I did. His work is unbelievable.
Creepy photos but those poor kids are gonna have nightmares for life haha! The clown one was the creepiest for me
The clown photo was by far my favorite one. Very Creepy! Fun Fact: Hoffine uses his own children for a lot of his pictures so I bet they feel right at home!
