The work of Daniel Norris is truly unforgettable as he brings his brilliant artistic ability to some of our favorite films — trapping them in a single gritty image. He creates these single-color print-like movie poster redesigns and each and every one of them are absolutely stunning. Each print drowns in a style that is unmistakably unique as his posters breathe new life into some of our favorite films. Good luck finding a favorite folks! I give you, The Art of Daniel Norris. IFC releases a gorgeous Drive inspired Maniac poster

Ryan —  June 5, 2013 — 15 Comments

IFC is showing off their beauty of a new poster for Franck Khalfoun’s fantastic stylistic slasher Maniac. I’ve been a fan of just about all of the posters so far for the film but this one takes the cake as it shows Elijah Wood standing in the iconic pose with a handful of beautiful blonde hair. Very cool! Check out my review for the film right here! Continue Reading…

Alternate Posters For ‘World War Z’

Ryan —  January 22, 2013 — 8 Comments

Much like the stunning alternate posters we saw for Texas Chainsaw 3D, there’s a new batch of alternate prints for the highly anticipated zombie flick World War Z that are very cool. I think we can all agree that the original teaser one-sheet was pretty disappointing as it had absolutely no creative elements to it. And to no ones surprise, all of these blow that poster out of the water. Continue Reading…

Here’s a couple of new posters for you guys to chew on to get the bad taste of the disappointing Carrie news out of your mouth. First up is director Don Coscarelli’s wicked cool poster for his latest feature John Dies at the End. I really dig the poster because it captures the entire essence of the film. And just in case you missed it, I posted a fantastic review written by Shawn of a few days ago that you can read here. Continue Reading…

Insanely Cool Rejected Posters For ‘The Shining’

Ryan —  December 14, 2012 — 10 Comments

Some of you readers will remember the post I put up a few weeks ago about LACMA’s amazing exhibit that is completely dedicated to legendary director Stanley Kubrick. Within the exhibit is a display featuring some rejected posters for Kubrick’s classic film The Shining and they are absolutely stunning. The entire gallery is phenomenal but this has to be one of the coolest displays at the show. Not only does it show off some lost poster ideas for one of cinemas greatest horror films but each of them have what looks to be Kubrick’s handwritten notes as to the reasoning why they chose not to use any of these prints. A Closer Look at Mondo’s Universal Monsters

Ryan —  December 4, 2012 — 4 Comments

We all remember the jaw dropping Universal Monster prints that mondo came up with back in October so I’ve decided to put together a gallery that takes a much closer look at these phenomenal posters that truly show off the intricate design work that went into all of these. One of the down sides to seeing these posters online and not in person is that you cannot fully appreciate the amount of work and detail that goes into every one of these beautiful works of art. David O’Daniel creates these incredible silk screen posters for films that release in conjunction with a screening at the Castro Theater in San Francisco. His artistic vision is extremely unique to say the least and you would be hard pressed to find a style quite like his. O’Daniel’s work is a nouveau style mixed with victorian flair as he takes advantage of the canvas by using silouhettes with a wicked cool background. There is a lot going on in each and every piece of his art as he hides little gems from the film within the image. His work is truly unique and has created an impressive line-up of posters that I really think you guys are going to dig. The Art of David O’Daniel. Continue Reading…

Ryan —  November 6, 2012 — 10 Comments

Here is a nice little piece of art for you guys. Artist Karthik Abhiram created this stunning poster that shows off some of the great images from the Evil Dead remake trailer. It was created entirely with a ball point pen and looks cool as hell. We’ve seen a lot of awesome fan made posters but this one has to be one of my favorites. Continue Reading…
