Mike Flanagan’s chiller Oculus hit us with a pretty fantastic teaser trailer back in January that had a very hypnotic, almost fairytale-like vibe to it. I really enjoyed it, but the one thing it was missing was any real scares or sense of its story. The film being described as a haunting, emotionally absorbing horror film about an orphaned child whose dreams—and nightmares—manifest physically as he sleeps.
