Ti West’s latest foray into the world of horror leaves us with The Sacrament, a heavy hitting shocker that takes its sweet time building skin-crawling tension as a world of pure terror slowly unfolds. West isn’t afraid to push the envelope with his wide-eyed thriller as he weaves a slow-burning tale that will truly leave you speechless by the time the credits roll. The film follows two journalists as they set out to document their friend’s journey to find his missing sister. Right on the heels of yesterday’s poster debut for Ti West’s The Sacrament is the film’s very first red-band trailer. I’ve watched the trailer a couple of times now, and I can’t for the life of me figure why it has been labeled with a red band. Ti West is one of my favorite up and coming horror directors. He tore through the genre with his brilliant throwback House of the Devil and then quickly followed it up with the solid haunter The Innkeepers. Now, he has teamed up with producer and horror maestro Eli Roth for his latest outing, The Sacrament. With its May 1st VOD release inching closer and closer, the marketing machine is officially about to kick into gear. And to start things off, we have the film’s debut poster thanks to IGN. By now I’m sure you all know just how excited I am to see Ti West and Eli Roth’s The Sacrament. The reason for the excitement is simply because we’ll be seeing Roth, who is finally starting to dig his claws back into the horror genre, team up with one of horror’s most promising up and coming directors with Ti West. When the project was first announced it was kept very quiet and little details were known. Now that the film is gearing up for its World Premiere at TIFF, we are finally starting to see just what the duo has in store. Ti West’s latest horror film, The Sacrament, will see its World Premiere at TIFF this year as part of their Vanguard program. Up until now there really hasn’t been much word surrounding West’s mystery project. A simply terrifying theatrical poster for You’re Next stares back at you

One of my most anticipated horror films of the year goes to Lionsgate’s insane looking home invasion thriller You’re Next from director Adam Wingard. There is now an all new official theatrical poster for the flick and it’s simply terrifying. It’s not too flashy or over the top, it’s just a shot of one of the masked killers standing in the doorway with a machete in hand staring right back at you. It’s pretty awesome.
