Up and coming French director Joseph Catté has just released a fantastic little short film titled Like a Doll starring Pauline Helly. Based on a story by Roland Topor, Like a Doll is a fascinating short film about the struggle of a young woman against a masculine entity. It’s an impressive nod to psychological horror from Catté who paints a gorgeous portrait with very few tools.
With just a single actress on screen and enough of the red stuff to make any fan of the genre leave with a smile, Like a Doll is a pretty powerful gut-punch of a short film that is laced with stunning imagery and rooted in a weird-as-hell plot. I really dug this one and even watched it a few times so I think you guys are going to get a kick out of it.
All it will cost you is 5 minutes of your time, so go on, take a look!
