One remake everyone was hoping was dead in the water appears to be taking flight once again as word is coming in via Variety that Platinum Dunes, Mandalay Pictures and Universal have brought in Dutch filmmaker Diederik Van Rooijento to direct the remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.
