A lot of scary shit happens in the real world everyday, but it’s not too often we see something as mysterious and terrifying as the recent death of Elisa Lam. According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has just acquired the rights to The Bringing, a horror script written by Brandon and Phillip Murphy and based on an actual place and series of events. The story is based on the mysterious death of Elisa Lam, a woman who was found dead in the water tanks on the roof of the Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. And they may have never found her body if it weren’t for the guests of the hotel who—two weeks after Lam’s death—started to complain about the taste and the color of the water. Can you believe that?
