Could The Crow reboot star The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus?

The-Crow

Casting rumors are fun, aren’t they? The Crow getting a reboot is old news as we’ve known for quite some time that the film is set to be directed by Javier Gutierrez with a script by Cliff Dorfman. Also, series creator James O’Barr will work as a consultant on the film, which is said to begin production in 2014.

Here’s where it gets interesting though. According to Schmoes Know, Norman Reedus is a top contender for the role of James in the reboot. While no one has come out and said exactly who James is, they are saying that he’s one of the leads. Considering The Crow’s name is Eric Draven—who is supposedly being played by Luke Evans—what other lead is there?

While there are still very few details right now, I have come up with a couple of possible scenarios. One being that the James character is the villian, and the other is that Luke Evans dropped out of the role somewhere down the road and they changed Eric Draven’s name to James. The latter is quite a stretch, especially considering the fact that there has been no news on Evans dropping out of the film, but it’s still entirely possible.

This news is picking up quite a lot of steam so I wouldn’t be surprised if we get some clarification as to what is going on. Is Evans still attached? I guess we’ll find out sooner rather than later.

I enjoy life, living comes so naturally to me; its a precious gift like boobs… or rockets. I honestly believe that if you were ever attacked by a gorilla that you should just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of having each of your limbs ripped off.

I need to see Reedus all cleaned up. I just don’t see him as anything else now.. And I’m not sure if he’s as good of an actor as he is just being awesome.

Right. The thing about Reedus is that he’s been out of the spotlight for so long that it’s hard to gauge his talent as an actor. He has been great in everything he’s done, but in TWD his character spends more time killing zombies than anything else. I’m glad he’s getting recognition now though because he certainly deserves it.

I agree. We just need to see more range from him. And he needs to clean up more for red carpets and shit. Show us your gentleman side, Reedus!

I’ve seen a lot of movies Norman reedus has made. He is a good actor. If I see a movie being shown and his name is in it, I’ll watch it. Hope he does this movie and see if he’s going to be good or bad.

Agreed. I hope he does take a role in the film, it would be cool to see him starring in something that’s going to get as much attention as this one.

Awesome! I’m excited to see trailers for this and of course the film itself! I’m sure Evans will do a great job but I still feel that Brandon Lee will forever be ‘The Crow’. Maybe I’m a little biased. :)

Yea, I think Evans is a great choice. Hopefully he’ll bring something new to the role.

Me, me, me! I am on board with that! HI think Norman Reedus is a pretty good actor, so he could do whatever they want him to do.

Yea, I agree. Reedus definitely has the chops, we just need to see them!
