Mad Man Jared Harris to lead Poltergeist reboot

That’s right folks, the Poltergeist reboot is still happening. The last we heard about this one was that the film was eyeing Sam Rockwell to star alongside Rosemarie DeWitt who was cast in the pic back in July. While there’s still no word on whether or not Rockwell will find a spot in the film, we do know that MGM and Fox 2000 has just added AMC’s “Mad Men” star Jared Harris to a leading role. When Rockwell’s name was being tossed around it was never made clear as to what character he would be playing so I’m not sure if Harris’ involvement means no Rockwell. Hopefully that isn’t the case because it would be pretty damn cool to see Harris and Rockwell share the screen in a horror flick — if that were to happen I could see this one actually turning some heads. Review: All the Boys Love Mandy Lane digs its own grave

Jonathan Levine’s All the Boys Love Mandy Lane has finally gotten a release Stateside after what felt like an eternity. Now that horror fans can get their hands on Levine’s teenage slasher, will it live up to the hype? There’s a lot of things that All the Boys Love Mandy Lane tries to do right but it unfortunately falls under a curtain of cliches and terrible characters that it ends up digging its own grave that only gets deeper and deeper as the movie goes on. The film follows a group of high-schoolers who invite Mandy Lane, “a good girl” who becomes the object of everyone’s affection after returning from summer break, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to mysteriously drop one at a time. Continue Reading…
