First stills for Among the Living arrive, a cross between Stand by Me and IT
The French filmmaking pair Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury made a name for themselves in the horror genre with their first two films Livid and Inside and now the duo are back with their now-filming third film, Among The Living. The premise is very intriguing as it centers around three kids who find themselves in a situation of unspeakable horror. It is being billed as a cross between Stand by Me and IT — something I think we can all get behind. Continue Reading…

I’ve been keeping a close eye on Bobcat Goldthwait’s latest found footage horror film Willow Creek and today we finally get to see just what he has in store with the Bigfoot thriller made on a shoe-string budget. The film will be hitting the Fantasia Film Festival this summer. The first trailer is pretty solid as it leads us straight into the forest where we follow a young couple who take a trip into the woods to capture footage of the elusive Bigfoot. Upcoming adaptation of Frankenstein starts piecing together its cast
Last we heard from 20th Century Fox’s upcoming Frankenstein was that Daniel Radcliffe was set to star as Igor, the hunchback assistant to Victor Frankenstein. Now, according to Deadline Fox is having both Boardwalk Empire’s Jack Huston (above) and RocknRolla’s Toby Kebbel (below) read for the part of Victor Frankenstein. While the list of possible candidates could expand, early word is that Fox is expecting to have a decision by next week. I’m a fan of both actors and while neither of these guys are a lock just yet, it’s likely that the role is going to one of them. I really dig Huston’s work on Boardwalk Empire so I wouldn’t mind seeing what he could bring to such a classic role like this one if he got the part. Continue Reading…

New trailer for Ben Wheatley’s A Field in England brings the crazy
Ben Wheatley’s follow up to the immensely satisfying Sightseers is A Field in England which looks completely batshit — and I mean that in the best way possible. Wheatley is an amazing filmmaker who’s not afraid to push himself into unknown territory and try new things. You never know what you’re going to get next with this guy and I for one can’t wait to check out this psychedelic trip into madness known as A Field in England. It will be the first UK film to be released simultaneously in cinemas, on free TV, DVD and VOD which is pretty damn cool. Continue Reading…
