Sightseers marks Ben Wheatley’s follow up to the brutally disturbing Kill List that helped establish Wheatley as one of horror’s most promising directors. Wheatley chose an interesting direction to go in after filming Kill List — instead of the seriousness and violent nature of that film he decided to blend his brutal style of filmmaking with some very dark comedic tones. Sightseers centers around Chris who wants to show his girlfriend Tina his world, but events soon conspire against the couple as their once dream caravan holiday takes a horrific and violent wrong turn.
