It has been quite a while since I’ve featured an artist in “The Art of Horror” so I’d like to make up for it with something truly unique, and that’s what we’ve got here, folks. I know most of you have heard his name before, as I’ve featured his work right here on Rhino’s Horror, but if you haven’t then you’re in for quite a surprise. Peter Strain’s artistic ability is quite different from anything we’ve seen featured in “The Art of Horror” so I think you guys are really going to like what you see here. Continue Reading…

Intestines never looked so good, Tony Moore’s ridiculous V/H/S/2 poster!

Spinoff Online got ahold of a new segment poster from Eduardo Sanchez and Gregg Hale’s “A Ride In The Park” from V/H/S/2 and it’s the kind of thing I know you guys are really going to appreciate — especially if you’re a regular reader of Rhino’s Horror. If you’ve already seen the flick then you’ll know exactly what’s going on in this nasty piece of art. The poster is just a taste of what you’ll get in their fantastic segment of intestine spilling fun. Mmm, looks delicious! Continue Reading…

I recently gave you guys a taste of horror artist Gary Pullin’s work with the Martyrs poster that he did for FrightFest UK recently. Since you all loved that piece so much I’ve decided to do the most logical thing and present to you a fantastic gallery of his work. Gary Pullin has been a force in the art world for quite some time and has worked with some of the biggest names in the business creating some truly unforgettable pieces of art along the way. Some of you may recognize his work from Rue Morgue where he worked as an art director for the past 13 years. His award winning art is absolutely phenomenal so the best thing to do here is to let his work speak for itself. I give you, The Art of Gary Pullin. Continue Reading…

Here is an artist I think you guys are really going to dig on. Laz Marquez is a very unique talent that uses a minimalistic style to his advantage in his stunning work. His gallery of work is phenomenal with each new piece better than the next. Marquez is another example of an artist being able to capture the very essence of each and every film and freeze it timelessly on the canvas. It really proves to how creative Marquez is by how important the image he chooses for each piece of art because for many of these you don’t even need the title to know exactly which film he’s portraying. His work highlights the classic films of Alfred Hitchcock to Darren Arronofsky’s Black Swan. Marquez has great taste in film and an unbelievably creative mind that shines a new light on some of our favorite movies. The Art of Laz Marquez. Continue Reading…

Mondo’s next big gallery show is nearing which will profile all of the classic Universal Monsters from many world-renowned artists such as Martin Ansin, Rick Baker, JC Richard, Kevin Tong, Ken Taylor and many more. Any Mondo gallery is exciting but this one in particular takes the cake not only because it’s theme is horror’s most iconic monsters but it will be presenting original, never-before-seen work from the legend, Drew Struzan.

The show kicks off on October 19 and runs all the way through November 10. And to celebrate the event, Mondo has released the debut poster for Creature from the Black Lagoon by Laurent Durieux. Check it out below.

Jason Edmiston is an amazing Illustrator who does a lot of traditional art like painting in acrylic on watercolor paper or wood panel. His style ranges from realism to exaggeration and there is a certain degree of humor or caricature in a lot of his paintings. His work is really unique and very colorful which is what drew me towards his work in the first place. You will probably recognize the first photo because it’s my profile header and I absolutely love it. All of the great Hollywood Monsters in one picture mashed up like that is brilliant. The rest of his work is equally unique and very interesting. Alright, less talk, more pictures. Here we are going to take a look at some of my favorite pieces of Edmiston’s work. Hope you enjoy.
