Here’s a remake that has managed to stay out of the spotlight lately thanks to all the other remakes on the horizon. Now that cameras are finally rolling, however, we finally get our very first look at Twentieth Century Fox’s upcoming new take on the classic Marry Shelley tale of Frankenstein. The first photo reveals Daniel Radcliffe’s Igor, who will star alongside Jessica Brown Findlay and James McAvoy. There’s really not a whole lot here to chew on, but I do like the look of his character and it’s nice to know that this remake isn’t going the “modern” route we’ve been seeing lately. New stills from Alexandre Aja’s Horns, starring Daniel Radcliffe

Today EW got their hands on some new stills from Alexandre Aja’s new horror film Horns and they deliver exactly what you hoped to see — Daniel Radcliffe sporting a pair of devilish horns. Aja’s adaptation of Joe Hill’s novel sees Radcliffe take the lead as Ig Perrish who suddenly wakes up with a pair of horns growing from his head. While no one else can see them, everyone he comes in contact with feels compelled to tell him their most horrific secrets. Got your attention? Well it certainly should! Not only is Aja at the helm, who’s responsible for the horror gem High Tension, but Radcliffe will be one hell of a site to see in the role of Ig Perrish. James McAvoy is your new Frankenstein!

Not too long ago we learned that 20th Century Fox’s upcoming Frankenstein was looking to possibly cast either Jack Huston or Toby Kebbel for the role of Victor Von Frankenstein. Either of those would have been great choices for the title character, but Fox decided to go with another great actor in James McAvoy. That’s right, McAvoy will star alongside Daniel Radliffe’s Igor in the Paul McGuigan Frankenstein adaptation!

McGuigan was brought on last year to the direct the film from a script by Max Landis that aims to put the focus on Frankenstein’s Assistant. The only real details we know about the flick is that it will bring a sci-fi twist to the classic story instead of following the novel. I’m pretty excited about this new. McAvoy is a fantastic actor who will no doubt bring something special to the iconic character. With Radcliffe’s Igor starring alongside McAvoy, this could potentially be one hell of an adaptation. Daniel Radcliffe to play Igor in Fox’s ‘Frankenstein’?

Variety is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe is in final negotiations to star in Fox’s new vision of Frankenstein as Igor. Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin) has taken over the director’s chair and the film is based on a script written by Max Landis (Chronicle) that will focus heavily on Frankenstein’s assistant. First Look At Daniel Radcliffe With A Pair of ‘Horns’

One of horrors more popular directors right now is Alex Aja (High Tension, Mirrors, Piranha 3D) who is currently hard at work on his adaptation of Joe Hill’s novel Horns. The film is set to star Daniel Radcliffe, Max Minghella, Juno Temple, Joe Anderson, Kelli Garner and James Remar.

Joe Hill’s novel is very dark and unique which is why I’ve been pretty excited to see this one get brought to the big screen. Radcliffe plays the main suspect for the rape and murder of his girlfriend. One day, he awakens to find horns growing from his own head and quickly realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their impulses. With his new power he uses it to discover the true circumstances of his late girlfriend’s unfortunate tragedy.

Alex Aja is known for going all out in his films and whether you love them or hate them he brings great qualities to each and every film. The idea of Radcliffe starring in something so outside of the box and teamed up with a proven horror director is very exciting.

Radcliffe describes his newest role as, “deeply emotional and also incredibly outrageous in some ways.” Says Radcliffe, “To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character — it was very, very exciting.”

Will Daniel Radcliffe Play The Hunchback in Fox’s ‘Frankenstein’ Adaptation?

Just a few weeks ago I reported that Lucky Number Slevin director Paul McGuigan had replaced Shawn Levy in Fox’s upcoming adaptation of Mary Shelly’s classic novel, Frankenstein. With a new director in place and a budget that Fox is comfortable with things seem to be moving along quite nicely for the classic monster tale.

Now, it looks like Harry Potter and The Woman in Black star Daniel Radcliffe is interested in playing the leading role of Hunchback in McGuigan’s newest take on Frankenstein.

Once the script is finished — which is currently finalizing — the studio will begin serious talks with potential actors. Penned by Chronicle scribe Max Landis, this version plans to put a sci-fi spin on the tale about a creature produced through a scientific experiment. The character of Hunchback is also being described as pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing.

This would be a very cool role for Radcliffe but as of right now it’s all speculation. More on Frankenstein as it becomes available.
