Leigh Janiak’s haunting debut gets a starry new poster.
By now you should all be quite familiar with Leigh Janiak’s Honeymoon, as it’s about to roll out into limited theaters and VOD platforms next month on September 12th. We saw the absolutely chilling new trailer for the film a few weeks back that told us just enough to let us know that whatever happens to poor Bea in the woods is certainly going to come back and haunt us.
On tap for you folks today is an all new poster, thanks to Hitfix, that seems to have been inspired by the gorgeous Under the Skin poster that we saw earlier this year. And just like that poster, this one is just as stunning and somehow adds to the mystery of the film. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, you should probably fix that by going here.
I’m really excited to see both Harry Treadaway—who recently turned in a phenomenal performance as Dr. Victor Frankenstein in Penny Dreadful—and Rose Leslie starring alongside each other in a genre film as intimate as this as both of them are capable of delivering unforgettable performances. The film is all about their romance slowly succumbing to terror, and I can’t wait to find out what happens in the woods on their Honeymoon. Any guesses?
Newlyweds Paul and Bea want to spend their honeymoon at a cabin in the woods. But the lovely romantic moments quickly disappears when strange events, such as the appearance of a mysterious light, the unexpected disappearance of Bea and her strange return, completely hurt and acting differently, are destined to torn them apart.
Honeymoon stars Rose Leslie, Harry Treadaway, Ben Huber, and Hanna Brown.
That poster looks gorgeous!
Yea it is!
It’s a stunning poster, yet also very sinister. It takes a rare talent to incorporate all those stars and not make it seem Disney-fied.
You’re absolutely right. While it comes off as very simple design, the amount of detail in there is phenomenal. The indie films always have the best posters!
