Aubrey Plaza goes full zombie in Jeff Baena’s horror comedy Life After Beth, and today we’ve got every decomposing second of its trailer to take look at. While zombie comedies are nothing new, Life After Beth offers a pretty fun twist on the sub genre as Beth—played by Plaza—comes crawling out of her grave one day and reunites with her boyfriend (Dane DeHaan). At first everything seems to be totally normal, that is, until she begins to rot and start eating people.
The trailer is a lot of fun and lighthearted; Plaza as a zombie is something that will never get old. Take a look!
Zach is devastated by the unexpected death of his girlfriend, Beth. But when she miraculously comes back to life, Zach takes full advantage of the opportunity to share and experience all the things he regretted not doing with her before. However, the newly returned Beth isn’t quite how he remembered her and, before long, Zach’s whole world takes a turn for the worse.
Directed and written by Jeff Baena, the main cast of Life After Beth includes Aubrey Plaza, Dane DeHaan, John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Cheryl Hines and Paul Reiser. It will be distributed exclusively on DirecTV on July 17 before hitting limited theaters on August 15.
Great (looking) cast. Aubrey Plaza makes me weak at the knees; the concept of horror-comedy intrigues me, and yes you’re right: the trailer is excellent. Count me in Ryan!
Yea, the cast is pretty awesome. I’m mostly excited to see Plaza running around destroying shit as a zombie. Should be a lot of fun. Glad you liked the trailer!
That looks fun :D
Right! A zombie Aubrey Plaza, nuff said.
I want to see Dehaan in a comedy. He seems to always be in very serious roles. I like it when they branch out. Don’t want to be type cast at his age, its harder to get out of it :D
