And here it is, folks! Finally, the official trailer for Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno has been released in all of its cannibalistic glory, featuring screams of terror and a heavy dose of horror. Roth is a voice the genre hasn’t heard in quite some time as The Green Inferno marks the director’s return behind a feature film since 2007’s Hostel Part II. Everything we’ve seen leading up to this trailer has been fantastic, but this 2-minute slice of horror is pretty brilliant as most of it is all suggestive, leaving a lot up to the imagination. It’s a really well done trailer that only gives us a taste of what’s to come. Check it out!
The Green Inferno will have a feast in theaters on September 5th through Open Road Films.
How far would you go for a cause you believe in? In horror master Eli Roth’s terrifying new film, a group of college students take their humanitarian protest from New York to the Amazon jungle, only to get kidnapped by the native tribe they came to save: a tribe that still practices the ancient rite of cannibalism, and has a healthy appetite for intruders.
Directed by Eli Roth, The Green Inferno stars Daryl Sabara, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Aaron Burns, Magda Apanowicz, and Sky Ferreria.
Wow, looks like a chilling movie, will try and catch this one when it’s released.
The trailer is great, really sets up the kind of film we are in store for!
Love how it says “From the twisted mind of Eli Roth”.
That’s a great touch! It’s nice to see his name on horror movies again.
I hope this is good – I had to watch your trailer without sound but it’s looking good…
haha, definitely loses an edge without sound! I hope it’s good as well. I’ve heard some good things so far though so who knows.
I still say that Hostel Part II is underrated as hell. I like Roth’s style. I’ll be seeing this one.
I’m with you on that, Jmount. Roth gets a lot of pointless hate. Really excited for this one!
I will watch anything that Eli Roth puts out! He hasn’t disappointed me yet!
Nice, Penny. Glad you’re excited for this one!
Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! Thanks for posting this!
No problem, glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like I will have to brace myself for this one; i can only imagine how gruesome it will be. Hope it’s good and has some suspense and tension and not just a ton of gore. This has one thing that all great horror movies have and that is atmosphere; looks like it has potential to be really good if properly executed!
Roth hasn’t been behind the camera in a while, but I am just glad he produced “The Last Exorcism” which instantly catapulted to one of my top-tier horror favorites of all-time; so even though I didn’t care for “Hostel” I will always respect Roth for helping make one of my favorites. :)
Great post as always!
So the message here is fuck the rainforest?
Haha no but it looks really good :D
It looks great! There’s a lot of ways to die in the rainforest, this is just probably the worst!
