Nightmares come to life in Eli Roth’s Clown trailer

There’s nothing quite like a horror movie clown is there? There’s just something about that constant smile and rainbow colored pants that strike fear into just about anyone, and now Eli Roth has produced what could quite possibly one of the most horrifying clowns the genre has seen in years. I’m honestly surprised that we don’t see more clown-based horror movies these days because they are genre gold as far as I’m concerned. It doesn’t take a whole hell of a lot of effort to make a clown scary as most people are scared of them just by simply saying the word.

A while back there was a fake trailer made for a film called Clown that was so damn impressive that Eli Roth himself decided to produce an actual feature film version of the terrifying tale. A trailer for the real thing has just been released and holy hell is it some freaky stuff.

A loving father finds a clown suit for his son’s birthday party, only to realize the suit is part of an evil curse that turns its wearer into a killer.

Clown is getting a release through Dimension Films and is expected to release later this year. The film was directed by Jon Watts and stars Andy Powers, Peter Stormare, Laura Allen and Elizabeth Whitmere. Check out the trailer below!

I enjoy life, living comes so naturally to me; its a precious gift like boobs… or rockets. I honestly believe that if you were ever attacked by a gorilla that you should just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of having each of your limbs ripped off.
