In probably the best casting news out of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes so far is news of Gary Oldman joining the already stellar line-up, reports Comingsoon.net. In addition to Oldman, you will see a returning Andy Serkis, recent reports name Jason Clarke and Kodi Smit-McPhee as two of the sequel’s principal cast. According to Comingsoon.net, Oldman’s character “will be boarding the project as the leader of a human colony”. I don’t know about you guys, but I can get on board with that! Continue Reading…

Gary Oldman goes Ape-Sh*t for ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’!
Variety is reporting that Daniel Radcliffe is in final negotiations to star in Fox’s new vision of Frankenstein as Igor. Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin) has taken over the director’s chair and the film is based on a script written by Max Landis (Chronicle) that will focus heavily on Frankenstein’s assistant. I love the idea of Radcliffe jumping into new genres as it looks like he’ll be trading in his Horns for a hunched back. Continue Reading…

‘Milo’ gets a SXSW Festival poster
As you know, Milo is gearing up for its SXSW premiere just around the corner and has now released its promotional one-sheet for the festival. Directed by Jacob Vaughan and roduced by The Duplass Brothers (Baghead), the film stars Ken Marino, Peter Stormare and Gillian Jacobs. For how ridiculous of a premise that Milo has to offer you would think the poster would have been a little bit more inspiring. I do like the illustrated style though, a rare choice these days. The poster is a special collaboration between Vaughan and the artist Mark Landry, who is both a screenwriter and disciple of legendary artist Drew Struzan. Continue Reading…

Wan has a knack for doing haunted house flicks as he has proved that he knows how to scare an audience with his most recent effort with Insidious. Early buzz for the film has been overwhelmingly positive which is why you see the movie nailing a summer release which is very rare for horror films. Hopefully, a summer release will grab a bigger audience.
