Teaser Poster For The ‘Evil Dead’ Remake Promises a Terrifying Experience

Normally we get the teaser poster before the trailer but that isn’t the case with the upcoming remake of the Evil Dead. The poster is simple and effective that claims to be “The most terrifying film you will ever experience”. Bold words. Words that I hope to be true. After have finally seeing the first teaser trailer of the Evil Dead, it’s been hard to find anyone not excited to see what producers Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have in store for us.

It’s never easy seeing one of the horror classics being remade but I think the Evil Dead has so much potential to be one of the best horror films in recent memory. It’s not a shot-for-shot remake and won’t even feature the Ash character because what is the point of comparing apples to apples? Instead, Raimi and Campbell have created this new vision where some unassuming kids happened to have opened a book that they should have just left alone.

Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

What do you guys think of the first poster?

The book of the dead opens on April 12, 2013.

I enjoy life, living comes so naturally to me; its a precious gift like boobs… or rockets. I honestly believe that if you were ever attacked by a gorilla that you should just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of having each of your limbs ripped off.

Man, even if the movie ended up sucking (which I doubt), it should get a film based on the PR wins alone!

No doubt! The balls they have with promoting this film are huge. And I like that they are using their own words and showing how much faith they have in their film by putting such a bold statement on the poster.

I can still remember the reaction fans made at the news. It was like they were going to commit mass suicide haha. It definitely took some convinceing but I’m happy that a lot more people are on board for it now. It looks crazy cool!

Yeah, I’m looking forward to Carrie too although I have no idea who decided to cast a beautiful actress in the title role. She’ll never live up to Sissy Spacek and it wont be believable that she would be bullied in the way Carrie was.

Probably not going to be scary, but is definitely going to be very, very gory just like the old movie. However, probably with more work done this time.

The trailer looks absolutely horrifying. Movies like this is the reason I think Horror is the greatest genre, let’s just hope it lives up to its billing and is at least half as good as the original.

I love the confidence in the poster! The trailer alone looks like its going to deliver one hell of an experience. Will it be “terrifying”? I guess we will find out.
