One of the favorites during its festival run was Paul China’s Australian thriller Crawl that has gathered quite the following since its debut after winning best director, actress, and cinematographer at Screamfest. Now with a release date set for all cable providers on October 1st we get the international trailer and it’s a nail biter. Finally with an official date announced we can all wait eagerly in anticipation for what is being called, “a stunning movie that drips with suspense” and has cult status written all over it.

Crawl’ is a character-driven thriller set in an unknown, rural town. A seedy bar-owner hires a mysterious Croatian to murder an acquaintance over an unpaid debt. The crime is carried out, but a planned double-crossing backfires and an innocent waitress suddenly becomes involved. Now a hostage in her own home, the young woman is driven to desperate measures for survival. A suspenseful, yet darkly humorous chain of events builds to a blood-curdling and unforgettable climax.

Check out the new trailer and DVD art below.

I enjoy life, living comes so naturally to me; its a precious gift like boobs… or rockets. I honestly believe that if you were ever attacked by a gorilla that you should just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of having each of your limbs ripped off.

It’s very possible. They’ve gotten quite a few of the films under the Bloody Disgusting Selects label.

I hope that’s not going to be the DVD cover art. I may not buy it just because of that.
