Yam Laranas’ Filipino supernatural horror film, The Road, is set to hit select theaters May 11 and with that we get a great looking trailer for the R-rated film. Based on the trailer the film looks like it is full of all sorts of horrific moments with great pacing to keep any horror fan on their toes throughout. The trailer does a great job at presenting its intense atmosphere and genuinely looks creepy.
“‘The Road’ tells the story of a twelve-year-old cold case that is reopened when three teenagers vanish while traversing an infamous and abandoned road. As investigators try to find leads to the whereabouts of the missing teens, they also unearth the road’s gruesome past that spans two decades – a history of abduction, crimes and murders.”
Isolated films like this have so much potential because nothing is more scary than being all alone in an unfamiliar place, and we have all been down a dark road in the middle of nowhere before which is why this film will get under the skin of many people. There are things that happen in this world where such hideous acts of horror have taken place that there is no doubt dark energy left behind, and in this films case it was all left on The Road.
