The Necronomicon has been opened! The ‘Evil Dead’ Trailer is finally here!
The Fede Alvarez directed remake to Sam Raimi’s classic The Evil Dead finally has a trailer and it’s the goriest and most badass trailer of the year. Raimi and Bruce Campbell were not lying when they said that this film was going to blow the doors off as the trailer alone is one of the best of the year. This trailer will certainly quiet a majority of the skeptics.
The moment the nay sayers can look past this being an Evil Dead remake they will see it for exactly what it is meant to be. Once they can do that they will realize that this is essentially a film about some kids who messed with a book that should have never been opened giving us a film that will be brilliantly gory and full of horrific fun. And don’t forget the tree rape.
“Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”

I’m kind of concerned that there won’t be the sly sense of humor found in the original, but goddamn…that just looks tense.
Hell ya Andy! It really does look insane. I’m thinking there won’t be an ounce of humor in this one, especially with no Ash character to deliver the one-liners! Campbell says in an interview that their wont be the funny quips and one-liners like Evil Dead II because this is just a remake of the first film which was always more geared more towards horror than humor.
Totally disgusting…but awesome! Gotta see it!
