Necrolovers, A Throwback to the Horror of The 1950′s

Chilean director Victor Uribe’s horror short Necrolovers is a breath of fresh air. It’s a very cool throwback to the old horror of the 1950′s when the likes of Abbott and Costello were fending off the creatures of the night. It was a special time for horror as the creatures became bigger and badder as well as a brand of filmmaking that is all but lost. Uribe’s short takes us all the way back to that fantastic era with Necrolovers; a lover-letter to the horror films of the 1950′s.

With the short completed; Uribe is gearing up for a festival run and has released a trailer. It was filmed in high contrast black and white making each frame a beautiful shot into the past.

Set free by a strange female force, a madman manages to escape from a psychiatric hospital. The force guides him up to an old cemetery where he discovers looters desecrating the wrong grave. Supernatural forces join with the maniac’s rage triggering an apocalyptic ending.

About The Author

— I am 25 years old and I'm passionate about film. I enjoy life. Living comes so naturally to me, its a precious gift — like boobs... or rockets. I honestly believe that if you were ever attacked by a gorilla that you should just sit back and relax while you enjoy the once in a life time feeling of having each of your limbs ripped off.
